Pier Solutions is looking for a site leader for our bridge projects in Manitoba. This position is tasked with leading site work in collaboration with our project managers, project coordinators, and other foremen. Most of the time will be spent on site, working alongside and leading an average crew size of 3-5 people.

Job Description

- Assist project managers in estimating, creating schedules, ordering materials, and preparing multiple sites for start of construction
- Providing leadership and expertise for internal project planning meetings, kickoff meetings, check-ins, and debriefs throughout the course of projects
- Identifying creative construction methods to complete work requirements efficiently
- Performing general labour to support the team
- Assisting project managers in coordinating site activities and providing general direction to internal labour and subcontractors
- Working together with project managers to maintain on-site documentation, including site instructions, contract changes, safety records, and daily job-site logs

Pier Solutions is looking for a lead hand for our bridge projects in Manitoba. This position is tasked with assisting with site work, providing general labour in collaboration with our site foremen, project managers, and project coordinators, and foremen.

Job Description
As a Pier Solutions project manager, you are tasked with managing construction projects and providing technical services. This is the perfect job for you if you strive to merge technical engineering and practical construction services. Your responsibilities may include the following:
- Supporting all aspects of construction work including:
- developing proposals for various contract models;
- preparing estimates for quoted and tendered work;
- light on-site labour to assist construction crews
- managing schedules, materials, and subcontractors;
- aiding in job cost tracking;
- preparing and submitting environmental management plans;
- supporting safety coordinator in completing daily and project specific safety requirements;
- reporting on project progress, offering viable solutions and opportunities as they arise
- Providing technical services, including bridge/structure inspections, maintenance plans, load ratings, as well as other design services
- Writing technical reports
- Communicating customer issues and devising ways for improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
Responsibilities will be added over time.
Education and Experience
- Civil tech diploma or civil engineering degree
- Five plus years of project management and/or bridge engineering experience is preferred
- Some bridge experience is an asset
- Construction/carpentry experience is an asset, although not required

Job Description
As a Pier Solutions engineering technologist, you are tasked with managing construction projects and providing technical services. This is the perfect job for you if you strive to merge technical engineering and practical construction services. Your responsibilities may include the following:
- Supporting all aspects of construction work including:
- developing proposals for various contract models;
- preparing estimates for quoted and tendered work;
- light on-site labour to assist construction crews
- managing schedules, materials, and subcontractors;
- aiding in job cost tracking;
- preparing and submitting environmental management plans;
- supporting safety coordinator in completing daily and project specific safety requirements;
- Reporting on project progress, offering viable solutions and opportunities as they arise
- Providing technical services, including bridge/structure inspections, maintenance plans, load ratings, as well as other design services
- Writing technical reports
- Communicating customer issues and devising ways for improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
Responsibilities will be added over time.
Education and Experience
- Civil tech diploma or civil engineering degree
- Five plus years of project management and/or bridge engineering experience is preferred
- Some bridge experience is an asset
- Construction/carpentry experience is an asset, although not required

- Effectively communicate with trade contractors, citizens, and technical/design team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, and commitment to well-constructed projects
